Danish grammar
Main and subordinate clauses
| Danish has two clause types. A main clause can stand alone and keeps the finite verb in 2nd position (verb-second or V2). A subordinate clause cannot stand alone and follows conjunctions like at, fordi, når, hvis, mens, selv om, før, efter; inside these, the verb does not move to 2nd position. | |
