Relative clause word order & comma basics
A relative clause adds extra information about a noun. In Danish it is introduced by der or som and uses subordinate word order (no inversion). In writing, put a comma before the relative clause – always. | |

Manden, der bor ved siden af, er dansker | The man who lives next door is Danish |
Personen, som ringer nu, er min ven | The person who is calling now is my friend |
