The imperative

The imperative is the command form. In Danish, it is usually the verb stem (infinitive minus the final -e).
Form: stem = infinitive − -e
at sove → Sov godt to sleep → Sleep well
at lukke → Luk vinduet to shut → Shut the window
at prøve → Prøv igen to try → Try again
at komme → Kom så to come → Come on
at sige → Sig det igen to say → Say it again
